28th VBH National Conference - Adopted into a family

The topic of the 28th-VBH national conference was "Adopted into a family" and the atmosphere at the conference was really family-like. Most of the participants were students from various VBH groups. They came to share their desire to spread the gospel amongst their fellow students. It was very inspiring and encouraging to hear their ideas and learn about the events they organized and also to see God's guidance and grace in their mission. There were also graduates present at the conference and I was one of them. It is special to see students and graduates sharing their experiences in ministry and praying together for the good news to be spread amongst students.
The conference took place from the 6th-9th of September in the beautiful environment of the Christian Centre BEREA in a little village called Modra near Bratislava. The main speaker was Ervin Mittelmann, the pastor and founder of Mozaika Church in Košice. Ervin showed us what is a church, what a church should look like, what we as a church should be doing and how we can become a valid part of a church. He also emphasized that the church should work as a family. Besides that we discussed the importance of local churches in our ministry. It was amazing to see students making decisions to go to their local churches and ask for help and support in their ministry. After our seminars we were looking for ways to share the gospel with students and we also had some time to ask Ervin questions.
It was a precious time and I realized how much I need my local church - my family, to cover my back in my ministry. I also realize that there will be a breakthrough in studetns' hearts only because of God's grace and kindness and patience and love and not because of me. Praise the Lord for that! Elvirka

The conference was organized very well, I am grateful to everyone who participated in its preparation – by prayers, finances, and ministry during the conference, let these peoplebe blessed by the Lord. In conclusion, I would like to say that through the workers of VBH the Holy Spirit spoke to me, comforted and encouraged me, and showed me people who need prayers and fellowship and I was able to serve them. And through Beata, the Lord spoke to me about some personal issues I was dealing with, these words built me and shifted me further spiritually and mentally.

The conference was great! I really liked it because we were few so I had a chance to talk to everyone. The seminars were very interesting and useful - I always listened and did not even want to go to bed. The thing I enjoyed most was the worship - it was blessed time. I also liked the fact that the food at the conference was very tasty. Finally I would like to say one thing - I'm looking forward to the next conference! Student Katya
